How to sync the iPad with Google Contacts

The Contacts application is the iPad from Apple is capable of storing various types of contact information such as phone numbers, email addresses and offices. The entries that you create directly on the iPad are stored locally on the device, but you can set up your iPad to synchronize contact data with other services. For example, people with Google accounts can synchronize their iPad with Google Contacts.

1 Tap the "Settings" icon on the home screen of your iPad.

2 Go to the "Mail, Contacts, Calendars," then tap "Add Account".

3 Select "Microsoft Exchange" from the list of account types.

4 Enter your full email address of Google in the "User Name" and your Google Account password in the "Password" field. Leave the field "Domain", and tap "Next".

5 Type "m.google.com" in the "Server" field, and tap "Next".

6 Move the slider next to "Contacts" in the "On" position.

7 Tap the "Done" button, and choose the option "Keep my iPad" when the device requires the processing of existing data.
